Why Progressives Don’t Want Biden To Run Again

Now that the midterm elections have ended, President Joe Biden has asked the Democratic National Committee to change the primary election calendar so that South Carolina votes before the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primaries, which are traditionally the first in the nation. The move is being interpreted as a brazen ploy by Biden to ensure he is favored as the next Democratic presidential nominee for 2024.

Progressives have long battled Biden’s propensity to move to the right, and are calling on him to not only refrain from changing the primary election calendar but to not run for reelection altogether.
