Progressive Hub sits down with attorney, activist, and writer Heidi Jones to discuss the India Walton and Byron Brown campaigns for Mayor of Buffalo, NY. In the interview, we learn that Byron Brown is backed by big developers and GOP Trump supporters. Big money has flooded Buffalo, a city with around 250,000 people, to swing the election away from India Walton and back towards what the corporate establishment wants. We also learn that India Walton, who already defeated Byron Brown in the Democratic primary earlier this year, raised four children, is a registered nurse, and has previously led community development projects in Buffalo.
Election Day is on Tuesday which marks the final day to vote. Early voting has been available across the city but is closed on Monday. On Tuesday, voters are required to vote at their specific neighborhood polling location. Voters can find their voting site information here.
