Robert Greenwald appeared on The Zero Hour to discuss “Gaza: Journalists Under Fire,” his new documentary on the 200+ reporters who have been killed by Israeli forces since October 7, 2023.

Robert Greenwald, founder of Brave New Films, discusses his new documentary “Gaza Journalists Under Fire,” which focuses on the killing of Palestinian journalists during the Gaza genocide. Greenwald explains that he intentionally centered the film on journalists to reach people who might not otherwise engage with the issue, highlighting that over 200 Palestinian journalists have been killed and no international journalists are allowed in Gaza except those embedded with the Israeli army.

The film is an emotionally powerful portrayal of these deaths—and the larger genocide these journalists gave their lives to inform us about. This interview also includes several clips from Robert’s film.
The film aims to raise awareness about the targeting of journalists, the suppression of information, and the broader humanitarian crisis, while also showing global solidarity through worldwide demonstrations. Greenwald emphasizes the importance of emotional storytelling to motivate people to take action and has made the film freely available through multiple platforms to encourage widespread viewing and discussion.
